Music in the City - 2016

Shieldhall is proud to be hosting Southampton's 'Music in the City' event on Saturday 1st October 2016. Southampton's premier live music event, 'Music in the City' is in its 8th year, and celebrates the wonderful diversity of musical talent from the Solent area.

The Festival is FREE to attend, and gives residents and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic range of musical styles performed in the quirkiest of places! Alongside the Shieldhall, bands will be playing in venues such as The Weigh House, Castle Vault, King John's Palace and the Undercroft.

Shieldhall may only be visited by using the Heritage buses which will link venues during the course of the day. Shieldhall is a popular venue to see bands - not only is it the only water-based venue, it will also have its bar open and will be serving bacon rolls too!
