We're in Poole & sailing to the Bournemouth Air Festival!

Shieldhall is alongside Poole Quay and open to the public on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th August! Our open days will give you an opportunity to tour the ship from Bridge to Boiler Room! Come and meet Shieldhall's volunteer crew and learn about life aboard a heritage steamship.

We will also be offering a rare opportunity to see the engine room in full running condition with all auxiliaries and main engines in operation, an experience normally only possible to those guests who sail with us. The engines will be running from midday to 1500 daily.

Most importantly… our famous “Pig and Whistle” bar will be open so please do come onboard and enjoy some refreshments!

No need to book, just turn up! Donations of £4.00 per Adult & £1.00 per Child.

Shieldhall will be sailing out to the Bournemouth Air Festival this Friday 30th, Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September, between 10am – 7pm sailing from Poole Quay.

Shieldhall will be anchored between Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers, providing the very best viewing for the Air Festival in one of the most stable and smoothest of vessels. An expert commentary will be given on the sights and sounds of the Air Festival, set this year to include the RAF Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and RAF HC2 Chinook.
