The Shieldhall volunteers were proud recipients of the Marsh Volunteer of the Year Awards, in partnership with the Marsh Charitable Trust #MarshAwards, as announced at the National Historic Ships (NHS) online awards ceremony on Tuesday evening. The award was shared with our good friends the Daniel Adamson from Liverpool. As highlighted by the NHS:

‘Our sector relies on the amazing dedication and hard work of volunteers up and down the country. This year, volunteers have continued to persevere through the most difficult circumstances to support their vessels.’ The Shieldhall volunteers were highlighted for their work through lockdown, with projects to form a new charity; set-up a 50:50 lottery; develop a new website and secure a new home within the Port of Southampton all praised.
