Summary of Executive Committee Meeting held – August 2013

Minutes of the meeting held on 7th June 2013 were approved. The full minutes are available from the Secretary on request.

It was noted that some additional insurance cover would be needed while “lottery” works were taking place.

Raising of “matched funds” to support our lottery grant is progressing well.

Some changes to Catering Management have been initiated to speed up our response to enquiries and improve administration. Barry Eagles will be leading this function on behalf of the Trading Company Board.

The need to attract more “operational” members is becoming paramount.

The ship will be open on Heritage Open Days during September. Volunteers to support should contact Tony Holley.

Changes to the future structure of the Trading Company to ensure a more even spread of responsibilities are currently the subject of discussion. Further detail will be provided in due course.

The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be on 4th October 2013.
