Summary of Executive Committee Meeting held – December 2013

Minutes of the meeting held on 11th October 2013 were approved. The full minutes are available from the Secretary on request.

The future of MV Balmoral was reported as looking doubtful.

It was agreed that the on line donation facility should transfer from “Just Giving” to “My Donate”

Gift aid on ticket salaes would be reviewed once on line ticketing is in place.

Advice will be sought on the VAT implications for transfers between the Charity and Trading Company.

Derek Burke attended his first meeting as CEO of the Trading Company.

A need to identify a new Designated Premises License holder was discussed.

A contract for delivery of Learning and Participation has been awarded to a company called Culture Force. This is a joint venture with ST Challenge.

Rosie Jacob has been appointed Volunteer Coordinator.

An excess insurance premium has been agreed with brokers covering the Lottery works.

The Editor of Shieldhall Matters presented proposals for a refresh of the magazine. The Executive agreed a number of changes.

Rev Andrew Huckett has retired from his position of Ship’s Chaplain.

The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be on 7th February 2014.
