Summary of Executive Committee Meeting held – February 2012
Minutes of the meeting held on 7th December 2011 were approved. A summary has previously been posted and the full minutes are available from the Secretary if required.
The ECM are trying to source some charity collecting tins, can anyone help?
We are still looking for a “Webmaster”, any volunteers?
Pre season crew training has commenced.
Handover of the Treasury function from John Everett to Richard Walker is expected to be completed by the end of February.
Our lottery bid is in, a response is expected in March.
A book sale and two fundraising meals on board are scheduled in February.
We have been invited to set up a Shieldhall window display in Bitterne, can anyone help.
The 2012 sailing programme will be published imminently, subject to MCA clearance.
A “Supporters Cruise” is planned as a thank you to our major sponsors.
The ECM recognises the urgent need for a marketing resource, again we need help.
Emergency repairs to the Engine Room frames have been completed and await MCA inspection. Special thanks were recorded to all involved and in particular to John Hollis and George Sloss.
Simon Ball and Mike Lawlor have taken on the task of catering co-ordination and will provide the food service for most sailings. A specialist caterer will support “top end” functions.
The Annual General Meeting will take place on 25th March @ 11.00. Further detail in Shieldhall Matters.
